Coach screws are heavy-duty, hexagonal-headed fasteners designed for high-torque timber-to-timber and metal-to-timber connections.
These structural fixings combine the deep-thread grip of a wood screw with the robust head of a bolt - allowing you to secure heavy fencing, decking, and timber frames with a standard wrench or impact driver. - found in most toolboxes.
You can choose from zinc-plated options, which provide reliable protection for internal projects and dry environments, or A2 stainless steel coach screws, which offer superior corrosion resistance for coastal sites and high-moisture outdoor applications. For pressure-treated landscaping timber, Net-Coat Green finishes ensure your fixings blend into the wood for a clean, professional appearance.
Pre-drilling a pilot hole is recommended to prevent timber splitting - ensuring you achieve a permanent, rock-solid bond in both hardwoods and softwoods. These screws are engineered to withstand significant shear forces in structural construction and heavy-duty joinery.
