Fibreglass toe cap safety footwear represents the cutting edge of composite technology. By using reinforced glass fibres, manufacturers can create a toe box that is incredibly strong yet thinner than standard plastic composites. This allows for a slimmer, more attractive boot profile that doesn't look bulky.
Like other composites, fibreglass is non-magnetic and thermally non-conductive. However, its superior strength-to-weight ratio makes it the ideal choice for high-performance safety trainers and hikers where every gram counts. If you want the lightness of a running shoe with the protection of a work boot, look for fibreglass technology.
