Stair Nosing & Edging

Stair nosing and edging can significantly increase the safety of steps and stairways in the workplace. A stair nosing strip with a slip-resistant surface will help to reduce the risk of slips or falls – essential for both indoor and outdoor steps or staircases.

At Toolstation, we stock a variety of stair edging and nosing products to suit a wide range of concrete, metal or wooden steps. Our step edge trims include options with heavy-duty grit surfaces for outdoor slip resistance and fire-retardant additives for excellent fire and heat resistance.

Step Edge Trims

As well as providing additional slip resistance, fitting a step edge trim can help to increase visibility of potential trip hazards too. Choosing a yellow stair nosing is a great way of providing a contrast against the darker colour of workplace stairways.

These step protectors also take care of the steps – their robust construction is designed to cope with heavy foot traffic, and can help to spread impact loads across the entire length of the stair tread.
