This 110 mm Aquaflow square hopper is designed for use with most underground drainage systems. Typically a waste pipe operates at 30% capacity, but the hopper increases efficiency to closer to 100%. Attach it to a rainwater downpipe or sink waste outlet. The hopper will fill with water before discharging it to the drains, creating a syphon effect and ensuring the water clears quickly.
The hopper's outlet pipe is 110 mm so it'll connect with most existing drainage. If that's a system combining foul and rainwater, you'll need to fix it to a gully trap to eliminate odours. When you're building a new system that discharges water into public drains, you'll need permission from local authorities. This hopper is made from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVCu) and complies with all the relevant British Standards and Building Regulations, so there should be no problem securing the necessary permit.
