Make planing jobs easier with this powerful, cordless planer from Makita. It's ideal for a wide range of woodworking jobs, such as making furniture, smoothing the edges of rough lumber and customising the thickness of a wooden sheet. The planer is part of a kit, which includes a compact charger, two 5.0 Ah batteries and a Makpac connector storage case (Type 3) with an inner tray to keep everything organised.

You can count on this planer to deliver top-quality and accurate results, thanks to its precision machined aluminium base. There's an ergonomic soft-grip handle too, which maximises your control over the tool and allows you to plane dozens of metres of wood before your hand gets tired.

For added safety, there's a soft start feature. This means there's no chance of the planer skittering about on your workpiece and damaging the wood. There's a dust extraction port on the side, which ensures your workspace and cutting surface is kept as clean as possible. When you're in between cuts, there's a spring-loaded stand you can use that lifts up the base and protects the wood from the blade.
