Choose this industrial socket when you need to provide power to an appliance in an outdoor area that's exposed to the weather or lots of dust. You can use it to connect to the mains supply when you're operating items needing higher voltage and currents like caravans, motorhomes and electrical vehicle chargers. These types of heavy-duty equipment can't be supplied by usual 230 V domestic sockets.

You can mount it horizontally using the screws to attach it to your wall or mounting block. It's coloured blue to indicate that it's waterproof, and thanks to its IP67 rating, it's protected against dust and water ingress.
