Need to keep a fire door open? Make sure you do it safely and legally by fitting the Dorgard. This wireless device holds open doors, but allows them to automatically close on the sound of a fire alarm.
Dorgard can be installed onto the bottom of a fire door in less than five minutes - because it's battery-powered, there's no need for a hard-wired connection. The fire door retainer is always listening for a continuous fire alarm of 14 seconds or more.
Don't be tempted to prop your fire door open with a makeshift door stop. It's dangerous, as fire doors need to be closed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. With a Dorgard fitted, you can improve access with an open door but you'll know it will close automatically if an alarm sounds.
